A Maldives first · Live mud crab
Scylla serrata
Maritoll is the first company in the Maldives to fatten mud crab — conditioning it to full, resort-grade quality on land and delivering it live to resorts and restaurants.
Mud crab (Scylla serrata) is one of the most prized seafoods in the region — yet it almost always reaches Maldivian kitchens after a long, stressful journey, arriving light, under-filled or dead on arrival. Maritoll is the first company in the Maldives to change that with on-shore crab fattening.
We receive crab and condition it in a clean, land-based recirculating system until the meat fills the shell to full resort grade — then grade it and deliver it live, on the day the kitchen needs it. Fresher, more reliable, and with far less loss than air-freighted imports.

A clean, land-based system close to the kitchens we serve lets us deliver a quality and reliability that imported, air-freighted crab cannot match.
The first mud crab fattening operation in the country — a new, home-grown source of premium live crab.
A closed-loop system filters and reuses its water continuously — low waste, low impact, tight quality control.
Conditioned until the meat fills the shell, then graded by size — crab kitchens can plate with confidence.
Landed alive and on schedule to resorts and restaurants — no air-freight losses, no guesswork.
